A project spanning nearly two years, where students around the world were asked to submit ideas to 'break down barriers by combining sports & technology'. With members of the IOC & IPC, as well as experts in a variety of fields in attendance, these students will give their final presentation in a hybrid venue that breaks down the barrier between the real and the virtual. 【Official website】 https://www.panasonic.com/global/olympic/ja/sportschangemakers.html

SPORTS CHANGE MAKERS is an initiative that was launched in September 2019 and was continued even after the postponement of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020. University students from China, the United States, Europe, and Japan were called to come up with 'ideas that break down barriers in sports with technology.' Representative teams were chosen from their respective countries and regions to give a presentation in front of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), Paris 2024 Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games (Paris 2024).
The proposed ideas will not only be presented; the goal is to have them adopted in future sports scene. Panasonic has continued to support students throughout the pandemic in the aim of co-creating innovative ideas.
The Final Presentation will implement a virtual event space called 'Mirror Field' that was jointly developed by Panasonic with a partner company.
'Mirror Field' will provide an exciting fusion of the real and the virtual that breaks down the barrier between the two. Please enjoy this demonstration in addition to the wonderful ideas presented by the students.
(* Please note that avatar participation in 'Mirror Field' is limited to concerned parties only )
