PaperCorea Inc. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was KRW 97,490.68 million compared to KRW 112,608.59 million a year ago. Net loss was KRW 655.75 million compared to net income of KRW 991.27 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was KRW 15 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of KRW 26 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was KRW 15 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of KRW 26 a year ago. Basic loss per share was KRW 15 compared to basic earnings per share of KRW 26 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was KRW 700.71 million compared to negative sales of KRW 234.45 million a year ago. Net loss was KRW 4,082.09 million compared to net income of KRW 517.4 million a year ago. PaperCorea Inc. is mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of newsprint papers. The Company, together with four subsidiaries, operates in five divisions. Its paper division engages in the manufacture of printing papers, such as newsprint papers, papers for comic books, papers for telephone directories, publication papers and medium quality papers, as well as industrial papers, such as sack kraft papers, environmentally friendly products and specialty papers.
