Paragon Bank announced the promotions of Chondrea Black to first vice president, Deborah Howell to senior bank accountant and vice president, and Kathleen Lewis to first vice president. Black reports to Marshall Talley, executive vice president, Howell reports to Tracey Thesmar, Controller and first vice president, and Lewis reports to Carol McConkey, senior vice president of Consumer Banking. As first vice president of credit and compliance, Black manages credit operations and oversees regulatory compliance. Black served as Mortgage Operations Manager at Paragon. She has been with Paragon for 11 years and is a certified community bank compliance officer. Additionally, Black served as a steering committee chair for MidSouth Regulatory Compliance Group. Howell has been with Paragon for 11 years, and in her new role as Senior Bank Accountant and vice president, she is responsible for month end financial reporting, quarterly call report filing with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and regulatory reporting to the Federal Reserve Board. Prior to working at Paragon, she spent over 18 years with National Bank of Commerce advancing from credit card customer service to senior financial assistant.
