By Singapore, 20 January 2012 - Parkway Pantai Limited ("Parkway Pantai Group"), one of Asia's largest private healthcare providers, has revealed the name of its newest hospital at Novena, today - Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital.
Commenting on the rationale for the new name, Dr Tan See Leng, Group CEO and Managing Director of Parkway Pantai Group said, "Mount Elizabeth is a strong brand name, and is the private hospital of choice for patients and doctors. Extending the name to Novena enables the solid brand name within the Parkway Pantai Group of hospitals, which is already synonymous with excellent healthcare, to grow and cater to the healthcare needs of more patients."
Mount Elizabeth Hospital was established in 1979 and is to date Singapore's largest private hospital. It offers more than 35 clinical specialities and performs the largest number of cardiology and neurology surgeries in Singapore's private healthcare sector every year. The hospital is internationally and locally renowned for excellence in medical and patient care services.

Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Parkway Pantai Group's new
hospital in the heart of Singapore's premier medical hub, is
scheduled to open in the second half of 2012. It will set new
benchmarks for quality healthcare to reinforce Singapore's
reputation for delivering world-class medical services to
both local and foreign patients. Adopting global
best-practice standards for quality patient care as well as
clinical outcomes, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital will meet
the continuing demand for high quality yet affordable

The main contract for the development of the project was
awarded to Penta Ocean Construction in May 2010, and work on
the superstructure was completed in the third quarter of 2011
and celebrated with a Topping Up Ceremony on 18 October
2011.
The modern 333-bed Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, designed
by Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum (HOK), will break new ground
in luxury healthcare with state-of-the-art medical equipment
and stately patient suites that are fully single-bedded.
Floor-to-ceiling windows will allow the healing power of
sunlight to shine through while elegant furnishings ensure
patients recuperate in total comfort. Single- hand canted
rooms allow patients to enjoy greater access to natural
light, and aid the monitoring of patients by clinical staff.

care that Parkway is renowned for.
