Alitalia increases its offer on Turkey to the new codeshare agreement with Pegasus Airlines. The commercial agreement between the two airlines will provide Alitalia passengers with new travel opportunities for flying to Istanbul and beyond towards the main Turkish business and tourist destinations. The agreement will also allow Pegasus travelers to access the extended network of domestic and international destinations served by Alitalia, thus fostering further development of tourism coming from Turkey, towards Rome and the most important Italian touristic destinations. Alitalia is widening its Turkish network by placing its "AZ" flight code on Pegasus Airlines' services between Rome, Bologna, Bergamo and Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen airport, and beyond to further five Turkish major destinations such as Ankara, Antalya, Bodrum, Adana and Izmir. The "AZ" flight code has also been placed to the Istanbul-Tbilisi service operated by the Turkish carrier. Similarly, Pegasus Airlines is expanding its offer to Italy by placing its "PC" flight code on Alitalia's services from Rome to Bari, Catania, Genoa, Naples, Venice and Turin. In a further step, as soon as necessary authorities' approval will be obtained, Pegasus Airlines will place its flight code also on international flights operated by Alitalia from Rome to London, Marseille, Toulouse, Malaga, Warsaw, Podgorica, Casablanca, Malta, Cairo and Santiago (Chile).
