Pepper Food Service Co., Ltd. announces earnings results for nine months ended September 30, 2019. For the period, Net sales revenue was JPY 51,857,000 against JPY 45,023,000 a year ago. Operating profit was JPY 44,000 against JPY 2,394,000 a year ago. Ordinary Income was JPY 19,000 against JPY 2,430,000 a year ago. Net loss Attributable to Owners of the Parent was JPY 1,922,000 against income of JPY 1,156,000 a year ago. Loss per share was JPY 91.78 against earnings per share of JPY 55.75 a year ago.
For the full year ending December 31, 2019, the company expects Net Sales of JPY 66,536 million. Operating loss of JPY 731 million. Ordinary loss of JPY 731 million. Net loss attributable to shareholders of the parent company of JPY 2,503 million. Net loss per share of JPY 119.46.
Pepper Food Service Co Ltd is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the operation of restaurants. The Company operates through four business segments. The Ikinari! Steak Business segment is engaged in the operation of charcoal-grilled steak restaurant Ikinari! Steak, operated directly by the group, a franchise, or a consignment business. The Pepper Lunch Business segment has three businesses: franchise business, direct management business and consignment business. It operates stores such as Pepper Lunch, Pepper Lunch Diner, 92's and food court type Charcoal-grilled Hamburg Steak Kuni, Tokyo 634 Burg, Musashi Hamburg. The Restaurant Business segment operates custom-cut steak restaurants, tonkatsu stores, beef tongue restaurants and others as a direct management, franchise and consignment business of the group. The Product Sales Business segment sells ingredients such as tonkatsu sauce, frozen pepper rice, dressing, and lux ham, as well as chopsticks.
