PETRON SPREADS KINDNESS AND COMPASSION THIS RAMADHAN

'Berbuka Puasa with Petron Malaysia' initiatives fuel hope in others

KUALA LUMPUR - A community can only prosper when every one of its members' needs are met. Keeping this in mind, Petron Malaysia has initiated a series of activities under the theme 'Berbuka Puasa with Petron Malaysia' this holy month of Ramadhan. With sponsorships of more than RM1 million, the company hopes to touch those in most need during this very special time.

"Bubur Lambuk" distribution and "Berbuka Puasa" with Orphans and Asnaf (30 March 2023)On 30 March 2023, Petron Malaysia retail service station dealers continued their annual tradition of distributing Bubur Lambuk to the community which began in 2016. Due to inflation, many families struggle to put food on the table. This year, 140 retail service stations dealers contributed to this initiative. 50 retail service station dealers and 30 employees joined hands and distributed 5,000 packets of Bubur Lambuk at Masjid Jamek, Kampung Baru.

The activity continued at night as orphans and asnaf were invited to the "Buka Puasa" event. Here, dealers sponsored required tools of trade to help three OKU entrepreneurs to work better. A carpenter with eyesight disability was presented with a laser cutter machine; a local food service provider with physical disability was given multipurpose cookers for his food business; and a lady who suffered from depressive disorder received a retort machine.

Cash Donation for victims of the earthquake in Türkiye (3 April 2023)

Petron Malaysia ran a donation drive and raised more than RM900,000 in cash to aid earthquake victims in Southern Türkiye. This donation drive was a cumulative effort made

possible by the Company, its employees and service station dealers. On 3 April, the proceeds were turned over to the Turkish Ambassador to Malaysia, his Excellency Emir Salim Yuksel.

Ramadhan Bazaar at Desa Pandan, Kuala Lumpur (23 March to 21 April 2023)

Petron Malaysia sponsored Petron Gasul1 for more than 200 bazaar traders at the Desa Pandan Ramadhan Bazaar in Kuala Lumpur. Each trader will receive 3 Petron Gasul cylinders, banners, and bunting installation for their respective bazaar spaces. Petron embarked on a mission to ensure bazaar traders could focus on achieving their business potential with lesser financial worries. The Company also distributed more than 300 packs of Bubur Lambuk to the public at the Ramadhan Bazaar.

Cash Donation for victims of the earthquake in Türkiye (3 April 2023)

Faridah Ali, General Manager of Petron Malaysia, presented a mock cheque contribution from Petron Corporation to His Excellency Emir Salim Yuksel, Turkish Ambassador to Malaysia at the handover ceremony.

The total donation collected under Petron Malaysia's 'Jom Bantu Türkiye' campaign exceeded RM 900,000.

Shaliza Mohd Sidek, Head of Retail Business of Petron Malaysia (in blue shirt), presented a mock cheque contribution together with the representatives of Petron service station dealers to help those earthquake victims in need.
