Xavier Rolet, the former London Stock Exchange chief, is on the verge of quitting as chair of Russian fertiliser producer Phosagro where he sat for four years, Sky News' Mark Kleinman first reported late last night. A City source said his resignation could be disclosed today. The announcement comes within hours of London-listed PJSC Phosagro's CEO and billionaire Andrey Guryev being added to the EU's sanctions list of businessmen with close links to the Kremlin in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Rolet stepped down as London Stock Exchange chief at the end of 2017, after more than eight years in the role.
