PIMCO Strategic Global Government Fund Inc. announced earnings results for the fiscal quarter and six months ended July 31, 2013. For the quarter the company reported net investment income of $9,771,250 or $0.24 per share against net investment income of $10,800,168 or $0.27 per share a year ago. Net realized and change in unrealized loss was $11,649,103 or 0.28 per share against net realized and change in unrealized loss of $61,143 a year ago.

PIMCO Strategic Income Fund, Inc. (the Fund) is a closed-end management investment company. It invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in a combination of income-producing securities of non-corporate issuers, such as securities issued or guaranteed by the U.S. or foreign governments, mortgage-related and other asset-backed securities issued on a public or private basis, corporate debt obligations and other income-producing securities of varying maturities issued by United States or foreign (non-United States) corporations or other business entities, including emerging market issuers, and municipal securities (the 80% policy).
