Five years after it was the first in Russia to be accredited by CLIP EFMD, the international quality assessment program, SberUniversity has successfully been re-accredited. There are currently only two corporate universities in Russia that have received this prestigious certificate and 23 that are accredited worldwide.

The CLIP (Corporate Learning Improvement Process) system was developed by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), an international association for business schools and corporate universities. CLIP is a program for the improvement of corporate learning. The system is a mechanism for benchmarking, collaborative learning, and exchanging best practices. The accreditation team consists of international experts on corporate learning, including HR and training directors from major global companies.

A number of particular strong points were identified during SberUniversity's accreditation process:

  • its role as a business development partner for the Corporate and Investment Unit through training programs open to external clients
  • the creation and dissemination of knowledge in the field of learning and educational technology
  • its role in Sber's digital transformation through digital skills training
  • its role in the transformation of education at the national level through the training of university professors and students.

EFMD is recognized at the global level as an authoritative accreditation body for corporate universities. SberUniversity sincerely appreciates the opportunity to remain a member of the CLIP community. The assessment and recommendations we have received, which take into account best corporate learning practices at the world's leading companies, are of paramount importance for us to reflect on our development. Being re-accredited for the maximum period is confirmation of the international competitiveness of Sber's education system.

Igor Baranov

Vice-Rector for Teaching and Research, SberUniversity

We were impressed by SberUniversity's role as a Sber business partner, the knowledge gained about the future of education, the way it accelerated the Sber system's digital transformation, its role as an agent of transformation in Russia at the national level, the way it strengthens the entire Sber brand, and the sustainability of SberUniversity as an organization.

Martin Moehrle

Director, CLIP

The CLIP assessment process covers all the essential dimensions of a corporate university's work within a company: the alignment of its mission and operational objectives with corporate strategy, the effectiveness of its management systems, its ability to address key issues of concern, the program design process, the overall coherence of the program portfolio, and the impact of corporate university's activities on individual and organizational learning. CLIP combines internal self-assessment and external evaluation of colleagues by peers from CLIP community.
