Appointment of Two Independent Non-Executive Directors

The Board of Polar Capital Technology Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of two new independent non-executive Directors. Mr Stephen White and Mr Charles Park will be appointed with effect from 15 January 2018.

Mr White has more than 35 years' investment experience in a variety of roles including Head of European Equities at both Foreign & Colonial Management and British Steel Pension Fund where he also managed US equities. Mr White has considerable experience of the investment trust world and is currently a non-executive director and chairman of the audit committee of Blackrock Frontiers Investment Trust Plc and Aberdeen New India Investment Trust PLC and a non-executive director of JP Morgan European Smaller Companies Trust plc.

Mr Park was co-founder of Findlay Park Partners, an investment firm specialising in quoted American equity investments and Latin American investments, and was formerly a US fund manager at Hill Samuel Asset Management. Mr Park has over 25 years of specialist investment experience and is currently a non-executive director of North American Income Trust plc and is a member of the Salters' Management Company Ltd.

A resolution proposing the election of Mr White and Mr Park as non-executive directors will be put to shareholders at the next Annual General Meeting of the Company due to be held in September 2018.

Neither Mr White nor Mr Park currently holds any shares in Polar Capital Technology Trust plc. There is no further information required to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules in respect of either Mr White or Mr Park.
