Perma-Fix Medical Accelerates Development Pathway;

Provides Update on Partnering Strategy, Regulatory Activities and Comercial Goals

Wrocław - August 27, 2018 - Perma-Fix Medical S.A. (WAR: PFM) today provided a general business update for the second quarter ended June 30, 2018.

Dr Louis Centofanti, Chief Executive Officer of Perma-Fix Medical S.A stated, "Despite the financial challenges we faced in the past, we are now accelerating our efforts through a cost-effective international partnering strategy. We are initially focusing on smaller, less developed markets, where a smaller technetium-99m (tc-99m) generator would be well suited, and where the costs and regulatory hurdles are much lower. We have already established such partnerships, and are actively exploring others, where our partners agree to cover the upfront costs of developing the generators in exchange for future rights to manufacture and distribute the product. During the quarter, we established a detailed timeline and schedule with our Italian partner to bring the technology to market. Our next objective is to complete the design and testing of a tc-99 generator, specifically designed for the Italian market. We look forward to reporting additional milestones in Italy and other global markets in the near future."

About Perma-Fix Medical

Perma-Fix Medical S.A. was formed to develop, obtain FDA and other regulatory approval and commercialize a new process to produce Technetium-99 (Tc-99m), the most widely used medical isotope in the world. The new process is expected to solve worldwide shortages of Tc-99m as it is less expensive, does not require the use of government-subsidized, weapons-grade materials and can be easily deployed around the world using standard research and commercial reactors, thereby eliminating the need for special purpose reactors.
