  Prudential Financial Inc. on Thursday said it named Susan Somersille Johnson chief marketing officer, effective Oct. 5. 


  The Newark, N.J., financial-services company said Ms. Johnson joins from Truist Financial Corp., where she was corporate executive vice president and chief marketing officer. 


  Prudential said Naveen Agarwal, who has served as chief marketing officer since last year, will take on a new role as chief market development officer.
