The PVA TePla AG announced that its Supervisory Board resolved to appoint Manfred Bender as a member of the Management Board and CEO of the company from January 1, 2021 onwards. He will thus succeed Alfred Schopf as CEO, who will leave PVA TePla AG at the annual general meeting in June 2021 when his contract expires. Starting in January 2021, Bender and Schopf will head the company together as part of a transition phase.

Manfred Bender held various positions from 1998 bis 2017, most recently as CEO of the listed manufacturing Group PFEIFFER Vacuum Technology AG. He has been the CFO of biotech company Brain AG since December 2018. Prior to this, at the 2020 annual general meeting, the executive team will be expanded to include Dr. Andreas Mühe as Chief Technology Officer and Jalin Ketter as CFO.

Manfred Bender has many years of experience that he will bring to his new role. He held various positions from 1998 bis 2017, including as CEO of PFEIFFER Vacuum Technology AG. He has been the CFO of BRAIN AG since December 2018.

He also sits on various supervisory and advisory boards. Another two new members will also join the Management Board at the Annual General Meeting on June 26, 2020. Dr. Andreas Mühe will head the new executive division for technology in his role as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

He is an experienced expert in the semiconductor industry with many years of leadership experience, including at Siltronic and, most recently, as managing director of the subsidiary 'PVA Crystal Growing Systems GmbH'. In his new role, he will be responsible for advancing strategic technical and product development, chiefly in the areas of technology and innovation management. Jalin Ketter will assume the role of CFO.

She is a certified tax consultant and auditor and joined PVA TePla AG in 2015.
