Qatar National Bank (Q.P.S.C.) reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported net interest income was QAR 7,003.67 million compared to QAR 5,672.04 million a year ago. Net income was QAR 3,890.49 million compared to QAR 3,463.83 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was QAR 0.39 compared to QAR 0.35 a year ago.
For the six months, net interest income was QAR 13,266.05 million compared to QAR 11,062.18 million a year ago. Net income was QAR 7,018.03 million compared to QAR 6,776.04 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was QAR 0.71 compared to QAR 0.68 a year ago.
Qatar National Bank QPSC (QNB) is a Qatar-based bank engaged in the provision of commercial and Islamic banking services. The Bank operates through four segments: the Corporate Banking segment includes loans, deposits, investment and advisory services, among other products and services with corporate customers, as well as undertakes the Bankâs funding and centralized risk management activities through borrowings, issue of debt securities, use of derivatives for risk management purposes and investing in liquid assets; the Consumer banking segment includes loans, deposits and a range of products and services to retail customers; the Asset and Wealth management segment includes loans, deposits, asset management, brokerage and custody services to the high net worth customers, and the International Banking segment includes loans, deposits and products and services with corporate and individual customers in International locations.
