QMines hits high-grade copper in new Mt Chalmers EM anomaly

QMines Ltd (ASX:QML) MD Andrew Sparke tells Proactive the company is honing in on high-grade copper in azurite- and malachite-bearing structures at its cornerstone Mt Chalmers Copper-Gold Project in central Queensland. Ground truthing over an electromagnetic target led the explorer to strong base metal anomalism, with early-stage pXRF analysis returning up to 30.04% copper in gossans and 23.48% in quartz breccia.

QMines Limited is an Australia-based exploration and development company. The Company owns four advanced copper and gold projects located in Queensland. The Companyâs projects include Mt Chalmers, Silverwood, Warroo and Herries Range. The Companyâs flagship project, Mount Chalmers, is located 17 kilometers (km) Northeast of Rockhampton. The Silverwood Project is located approximately 15 km South of Warwick in Queensland and consists of 234 square kilometers (km2) of tenure. The Warroo project is located approximately 50 km West of Stanthorpe in Queensland. The project consists of 216 km2 of tenure that includes the historic Warroo copper gold mine. The Herries Range project, which comprises 330 km2 of tenure. The Herries Range gold projects contain an abundance of gold mineral occurrences, as both high-grade, small, hard rock workings and spread alluvial gold workings. The projects are prospective for large scale intrusion related gold deposits and sediment-hosted gold deposits.
