On June 10, 2020, Jack W. Schuler, 79, informed the board of directors (the
"Board") of Quidel Corporation (the "Company") of his retirement from the Board,
effective immediately. Mr. Schuler's decision was not the result of any dispute
or disagreement with the Company.

On June 11, 2020, the Company issued a press release announcing the retirement
from the Board of Mr. Schuler.
