Rallis India Limited reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended September 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was INR 8,320 million compared to INR 9,510 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 8,370 million compared to INR 9,530 million a year ago. Net income was INR 820 million compared to INR 720 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 4.23 compared to INR 3.65 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was INR 16,140 million compared to INR 18,140 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 16,220 million compared to INR 18,200 million a year ago. Net income was INR 1,450 million compared to INR 1,390 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 7.44 compared to INR 7.12 a year ago.
Rallis India Limited is an India-based company, which is engaged primarily in the business of manufacturing and marketing of agri-inputs. It is engaged in manufacturing, distribution, sales and marketing of crop protection, and a variety of field crops. The agri-inputs consists of crop protection products, plant growth nutrients, organic compost and processing of seeds and provides agri-solutions under its Rallis Samrudh Krishi (RSK) initiative. Its business areas include domestic crop protection, international business, contract manufacturing, seeds, plant growth nutrients and agri-services. It offers crop protection products, such as fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, bio pesticide. It is engaged in the business segments of crop protection chemicals, specialty chemicals, polymers, and intermediates through contract manufacturing. Its seed division is an agricultural biotechnology company focusing on developing traits and technologies for crop protection and improved productivity.
