RAMSAY GÉNÉRALE DE SANTÉ ACQUIRES HÔPITAL PRIVÉ MÉTROPOLE GROUP IN LILLE

CREATION OF THE LEADER IN PRIVATE HOSPITAL CARE IN THE GREATER LILLE AREA

Ramsay Générale de Santé has announced completed today the acquisition of the Hôpital Privé Métropole (HPM) Group for an amount of 135 M€. .

The acquisition enables the Ramsay Générale de Santé Group, the leading private hospital care group in France, to strengthen its healthcare services significantly throughout the Lille catchment area. In practice, the Group will bring together the two private hospitals La Louvière and Villeneuve d'Ascq (Ramsay Générale de Santé) and the nine institutions across the area which currently make up HPM, and unite them in one cluster. The fact that the two groups complement each other in terms of location will enable them to meet the healthcare needs of a catchment area with some 4 million people.

Now with 11 institutions -10 of which being healthcare institutions and one Establishment of Accomodation for Dependent Old People ( E.H.PA.D)- across the catchment area, Ramsay Générale de Santé has as a result become the leading provider of private hospital care in the greater Lille area, offering a comprehensive range of healthcare services. Following this merger, the Group will be involved in all areas of healthcare: in medicine, surgery, obstetrics, psychiatry, emergency medical care, oncology, as well as follow-up care and rehabilitation.

For Ramsay Générale de Santé, this leading regional Group will have increased capacity to develop networks of excellence and coordinated care pathways, to invest in state-of-the-art equipment and technologies, to promote clinical research and training, and to offer innovative approaches such as robotic surgery, new cancer treatments, and tailored maternity support packages.

"In a difficult economic climate, the creation of this new cluster for the catchment area is a developmental project which will see us being committed to delivering a healthcare provision which is increasingly coherent and understandable, across the whole of the Lille catchment area, which is the fourth largest urban area in France, by pooling our expertise and our resources to benefit each patient," says Pascal Roché, CEO of Ramsay Générale de Santé. "This agreement is testament to our desire to continue improving the quality of care we offer in all regions where we operate, which we do by relying on our extraordinary teams."

Dr Frédéric Millot ( Hôpital Privé Métropole) says, "We chose Ramsay Générale de Santé for its investment capacity, the quality of its medical objectives, its vision for the future of our group in the Lille area, and its consideration of the decisions of the medical community in setting out the strategy for the cluster".

The Group's new cluster in the greater Lille area bring together 2,180 employees, 700 doctors, across 11 institutions which are expected to treat some 160,000 patients.
