RTX will develop a simulator for the Department of Defense to help respond to shocks to the supply chain.

The defense contractor said its Raytheon BBN Technologies unit would perform the work under an $8 million contract.

The company said the tool would use historical and behavioral survey data to help craft responses to shocks to logistics networks.

RTX said the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency would evaluate the simulator by comparing historical scenarios and consulting with experts.
