OXFORD, Conn. (AP) _ RBC Bearings Inc. (ROLL) on Friday reported fiscal second-quarter net income of $6.9 million.

On a per-share basis, the Oxford, Connecticut-based company said it had net income of 25 cents. Earnings, adjusted for costs related to mergers and acquisitions and pretax expenses, came to 89 cents per share.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.05 per share.

The maker of bearings and components posted revenue of $160.9 million in the period, beating Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $159.6 million.

For the current quarter ending in January, RBC Bearings said it expects revenue in the range of $245 million to $255 million.
