The international summit for high-end 3D visualization, 3DEXCITE Live!, took place on May 21-22 in Munich's Eisbach Studios. Dassault Systèmes brand 3DEXCITE invited users, customers, and 3D enthusiasts to come and experience how 3D visualization can be applied for design, development, marketing, and sales. Best-practice examples from the automotive, aerospace and consumer goods industries were used to highlight its effectiveness. More than 900 visitors from 29 countries attended the event to discover the latest trends in software, visualization solutions and CGI.

Experts from 3DEXCITE were joined by guest speakers from: DreamWorks Animation, ECCO, Honda, Jaguar Land Rover, MAN, PSA Peugeot Citroën and the University of Bologna. Delegates were presented with a rare insight into real-life usage scenarios and where the industry is headed in terms of future trends.

3DEXCITE CEO, Roberto Schettler, highlighted the importance of the product experience for consumers in his opening keynote. For shoppers it's no longer just about buying a product but the emotional experience attached to that. He explained how the use of highly realistic digital content is the key to creative storytelling across all communication channels. Bernard Charlès, President and CEO of Dassault Systèmes, and Monica Menghini, EVP and Chief Strategy Officer at Dassault Systèmes, outlined how 3DEXCITE's industry and software solutions are being integrated into the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform - substantially increasing the efficiency and the value it creates.

Billed as ´The Next Wave of Visual Reality´, 3DEXCITE Live! provided visitors the chance to experience the 3DEXCITE portfolio first hand at 30 interactive demo stations.
