Rengo Selected for Pentawards 2022, an International Packaging Design Award

The Pentawards is said to be the world's most prestigious competition specializing in packaging design.

･ HOLIDAY SPECIAL BOX This is a corrugated box that gives off a special seasonal sense and also provides enjoyment after use. Printed with sugoroku on the sides of the box-a board game that is great for spending time at home during the New Year holidays-this is a playful box whose outer flaps can be cut out and become tokens for playing sugoroku. By using a design that is associated to the brand's products, the box draws attention to the brand's rich product lineup and create a moment to reflect on the joy of sports. Sustainable design category (nominated)

･ 100% Paper-made Phalaenopsis Vase, Including Flower Pot This is a new Phalaenopsis vase made fully from paper material that reduces the issue of disposing ceramic pots after appreciating the orchids. Digital pre-printing has realized the luxurious stone-like appearance. By using corrugated board, the package is lightweight, foldable, and can be recycled as used paper. Along with the vase, a pulp mold to fix the orchid inside the flower pot was jointly developed as well. Developed with Matsuura Orchid and Nagoya Mould Co., Ltd.

The Pentawards is a worldwide competition exclusively for packaging design. It has been held annually since 2007 with the aim of widely spreading recognition that "packaging design is the most important communication tool, more than advertising and promotion."
