Announcement Concerning Newspaper Article

On November 3, In the electronic edition of The Nikkei, article titled as "RENOVA considers commercialization of Offshore Wind in Saga" was published. This is based on the company's own coverage and the content of the article that the capacity is expected to exceed 300,000 kw and that wind turbine capacity is expected to be 9,500 - 15,000 kw is not based on our announcement. RENOVA, Inc. (bellow "RENOVA") has been conducting survey for development of offshore wind project off the coast of Karatsu, Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture. However, the details of the project, including its schedule, have not yet been determined.

Going forward, based on the knowledge and accumulation of engineering technology gained through the development of the offshore wind project off the coast of Yurihonjo City, Akita Prefecture, RENOVA will prudently proceed with development of renewable energy projects while maintaining close communication with residents.

RENOVA will also contribute to the local community through these projects and engage in corporate philosophy of "To create green and sustainable energy systems for a better world.".
