Restaurant Brands International Inc. plans to expand its Popeyes fast-food chain in Asia with hundreds of new restaurants in India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan, the company said Wednesday.

Restaurant Brands will partner with Jubilant Foodworks Ltd. in the expansion. Jubilant, based in India, holds the master franchise rights for Domino's Pizza and Dunkin' Donuts in India, and also operates three of its own brands.

The planned Asian expansion adds to broadening international ambitions for Popeyes, which also include plans to grow in the U.K. and in Mexico.
