SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

Restaurant Group PLC, up 4.3% at 46.10 pence, 12-month range 25.06p-51.60p. The operator of around 400 restaurants and pub restaurants across the UK, including Wagamama, says Chair Ken Hanna plans to step down as its next annual general meeting during 2024, due to personal reasons. It will now initiate a comprehensive search process to identify a new chair. Hanna will remain as chair until his successor is appointed, in order "to allow for an orderly handover." Hanna has held the role since the start of 2022.

Schroders Capital Global Innovation Trust PLC, up 1.2% at 13.05 pence, 12-month range 11.95p-15.50p. The investor focused on a diversified portfolio of global private and public equity companies receives court approval for cancellation of share premium account. It says that it now has sufficient distributable reserves for a share buyback. The share buyback will begin Friday and will run to December 31, 2024.

Saga PLC, down 3.8% at 130.84p, 12-month range 71.10p-198.40p. The UK specialist in products and services for people over 50s continues to fall. Over the past 12 months, the stock is down 18%.
