CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) _ Rogers Corp. (ROG) on Thursday reported second-quarter profit of $28.7 million.

The Chandler, Arizona-based company said it had profit of $1.52 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were $1.72 per share.

The specialty materials company posted revenue of $234.9 million in the period.

For the current quarter ending in October, Rogers Corp. expects its per-share earnings to range from $1.70 to $1.85. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had forecast adjusted earnings per share of $1.96.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $235 million to $245 million for the fiscal third quarter. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had expected revenue of $241 million.

Rogers Corp. shares have increased 31% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $203.99, an increase of 52% in the last 12 months.
