Naruto Komuten, K.K. agreed to acquire 1,154.29 square meters land in Katakasu, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka city from S. Ishimitsu & Co., Ltd. (JASDAQ:2750) for ¥140 million on December 13, 2013. The Board of Directors of S. Ishimitsu passed a resolution on December 13, 2013. Agreement signing will take place on December 27, 2013.
The transaction is expected to close by March 31, 2014.
S.ISHIMITSU & CO., LTD. is primarily engaged in the sales of coffee and food products. The Company operates in three business segments. The Coffee and Beverage segment provides green coffee beans, regular coffee, instant coffee, tea, and coffee related equipment and supplies. The Food segment provides bottles and cans, wheat products, condiments, dairy products, oils and fats, liquors, processed products, fresh vegetables, vegetable cans, salted vegetables and others. The Overseas segment deals with all the items the Coffee and Beverage segment and Food segment provided. The Company imports or purchases these items and sells to food wholesalers, beverage and food manufacturers, restaurants and others, and is also involved in restaurant operation and other business through subsidiaries.
