Sacyr : to build the Acuña (Mexico) Hospital for 21 million euros

ADJUDICATION
• The hospital will have 90 beds and will service more than 200,000 people
The Mexican Social Security Institute has commissioned Sacyr to build the General Area Hospital in Ciudad Acuña, in the Mexican state of Coahuila, with 90 beds for 417 million Mexican pesos (approx. 21 million euros).
The hospital, which will have 90 beds and will serve 200,000 people, will have 2 storeys and a constructed surface area of 16,500 m2; some of the services to be included are: intensive care of children and adults, physical medicine and rehabilitation, external consultation, nutrition, cardiology, general surgery, an emergency room, endoscopy, chemotherapy, respiratory therapy and training for outpatient dialysis, among others.
This contract reinforces Sacyr Construction's activity in Mexico, where the group's construction company has several ongoing projects, highlights include: the Querétaro hospital project, the first section of Line 3 of Guadalajara's Light Rail system, of 8.7 kilometers and the large foundation slab of the Land Transport Center of the New Mexico City International Airport. Sacyr Industrial is also present in the country with electrical substations projects in the state of Puebla and in Monterrey, respectively.
