SkyFidelity Inc./TriCascade Inc. For the first time, an Internet of Things (IoT) company has created a Cloud-Based Energy Management System that provides consumers with the ability to directly control their energy consumption thereby directly influencing the amount of CO2 emissions they release into the atmosphere. A report released in 2014 by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy found that energy efficiency is the most effective tool that Americans can use to protect the environment against the harmful effect of massive carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is one of the main greenhouse gases that causes climate change. Around 45% of the world's man-made CO2 emissions come from energy used by consumers every day at home and when traveling. By reducing personal CO2 emissions, everyone can play an important part in helping to prevent climate change. Directly attacking the issue of CO2 emissions, TriCascade has developed a Microsoft Cloud (Azure) based system of energy management that consumers can use to monitor their energy (kilowatt) usage using TriCascade's proprietary mobile app based system. One of the key features which differentiate the TriCascade BRIGHTenergy system from other product offerings available is the simplicity of relaying energy consumption data. Using this information, the BRIGHTenergy system allows consumers to reduce energy consumption on a 'real time' level. TriCascade is currently working on a Smart Thermostat device, the ThermoRing which will be a voice-activated thermostat that will provide real time kilowatt usage and the conversion of kilowatt usage to expense in dollars. This display will allow consumers to see the cost of their energy consumption in real time on the ThermoRing display. TriCascade has been working on environmentally friendly IoT devices and systems since 2010. Its BRIGHTenergy system is the only Microsoft Cloud-based energy metering system available in the United States.
