Sanyo Trading Co., Ltd. (TSE:3176) entered into a share transfer contract to acquire Shin-Toyo Kikai Kogyo Co., Ltd. from an individual on May 13, 2019. Under the terms of the contract, Sanyo Trading Co., Ltd. agreed to acquire 0.04 million shares. Post acquisition, Shin-Toyo Kikai Kogyo Co., Ltd will become a subsidiary of Sanyo Trading Co., Ltd. As of December 2018, Shin-Toyo Kikai Kogyo Co., Ltd. reported net assets of ¥72 million, total assets of approximately ¥370 million and sales of approximately ¥410 million. The transaction is expected to close on May 31, 2019.
Sanyo Trading Co., Ltd. is engaged in the trading of rubber, chemicals, machinery equipment, scientific equipment and automobile parts. The Company operates in four segments.
