Sanyo Trading Co., Ltd. (TSE:3176) agreed to acquire remaining 6.13% stake in San-Thap International Company Limited from local partners on January 16, 2018. Concurrently, Sanyo Trading Co., Ltd. announced the decision to subscribe to the capital increase of San-Thap International Company Limited and to make it into a wholly-owned subsidiary. In addition to this capital increase, purchase for the stake held by local partners will be carried out and that part will be transferred to Sanyo Trading Co., Ltd. Post-capital increase and acquisition, Sanyo Trading Co., Ltd. will own 2.3 million shares, Sanyo Corporation of America will own 1,100 shares and Sanyo Trading Thailand Co., Ltd. will own 2,100 share of San-Thap International Company Limited. San-Thap International will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sanyo Trading Co., Ltd. Board of Directors resolved the transaction on January 16, 2018.
