Government of Republika Srpska agreed to acquire Sberbank a.d. from Sberbank Europe AG on February 28, 2022. Sberbank Banja Luka's assets and operations will be transferred to a new bank which will be established by the Serb Republic with a founding capital of BAM 15 million. The bank's operations will not be disrupted, but will continue under a new name.
