PGNiG secured 0.5 bcm annual regasification capacity in Lithuanian LNG terminal for the period of 10 years. The reservation has been granted by the Lithuanian terminal operator, Klaipedos Nafta, following a relevant procedure. As a result, PGNiG obtained the possibility of regasification of 6 TWh of liquefied gas per year, which translates into over 0.5 bcm of natgas, with the reservation in place for the period 1 January 2023 - 31 December 2032.

PGNiG has been using LNG terminal in Klaipeda since May this year, with the first cargo ordered by the Polish company delivered on May 6, and followed by 5 other supplies. After the regasification, part of the [gas] volumes were sold to recipients from Baltic countries, while the rest found its way to the Polish market via the GIPL gas interconnector between Poland and Lithuania, launched in May 2022.
