Coinciding with the publication of its results, Seb announced plans to acquire the family-owned French group Sofilac, in order to strengthen its expertise in high-end cooking and pursue its growth in professional and semi-professional markets.
This group, majority-owned by members of the Augagneur family, designs, manufactures and distributes high-end cooking equipment for semi-professionals (Lacanche brand) and professionals (notably with the Charvet brand).
This acquisition would enable Seb to complete its portfolio of premium brands. Expected to take place in April 2024, it is subject to information and consultation of employee representative bodies within certain Sofilac companies.
