Secure Path Technology Inc. (OTCBB: SPHT), a data services company for the media and entertainment industry, today announced a multi-year ISAN code registration agreement with CBS.

Secure Path CEO Alan Haft states, ?With cable retransmission royalty processing mandates already in place in France and Spain, and additional territories following suit, we are seeing a rapid increase in registration activity in both catalog and newly produced content. At the same time, multinational media companies are recognizing the need for a global content identification standard in order to audit and track the distribution of their media content, so it's no surprise we are starting to see so many companies coming to the table to begin registering their audiovisual assets.?

Under the terms of the agreement, CBS will save an estimated 40% from standard ISAN registration pricing.

Haft continues, ?In order for the ISAN standard to be globally accepted, we have to make sure the registration process is both efficient and cost effective. Although the market for ISAN registration is far beyond its infancy, we still have to recognize the need to work with companies to help minimize the costs of adopting this very important standard.?

In addition to the code registration agreement, Secure Path also provides CBS with its proprietary MediaDNS? metadata services platform to manage the ISAN registration process. MediaDNS? enables content creators to register their content with ISAN, as well as transform it into different formats across multiple distribution channels. MediaDNS? also enables content distributors to ingest metadata from multiple sources and in various formats, and transform that data cost-effectively in order to meet the distributors' format requirements.

?Our goal is to not only make the registration process simple and cost effective, but also to provide a company with a simple-to-use registration platform that also enables them to distribute their data in multiple formats. MediaDNS? has proven to be very useful in helping us and our clients achieve this fundamental goal,? states Haft.
