SEKISUI CHEMICAL CO., LTD. announces the following change of officer.

Appointment to an executive post at the Digital Agency to be established by the Japanese government on September 1, 2021

2. Other information

• The Company continues to satisfy the required number of directors specified by law and its Articles of Incorporation after resignation of the aforementioned Director.
• Although the sudden resignation of Ms. Ishikura reduces the number of Outside Directors to two, the Company believes that its governance will be maintained satisfactorily with the active participation of its Outside Directors with extensive expertise in business management and its Outside Audit & Supervisors with specialized expertise.
  The Board of Directors will continue to further promote diversity among directors and greater efficacy with attention to independence for further improvement of corporate value.
• At the same time, appointment of a new Outside Director will also be considered to satisfy the requirements for the structure of the Board of Directors under the revised Corporate Governance Code.
