Sempra's board has raised the energy-service holding company's quarterly dividend by 4.2%, to 62 cents from 59.5 cents.

The new payout, equal to $2.48 a year, represents an annual yield of about 3.5%, based on Monday's closing price of $70.91, up from 3.36%.

The San Diego company on Tuesday said the increased dividend is payable April 15 to shareholders of record March 21.
