PwC statement of independence

Dear sirs,

In a statement dated May 26, 2023, we confirmed our independence to the Supervisory Board of SFC Energy AG, Brunnthal in preparation for being elected as auditor.

We were subsequently appointed by the General Meeting on June 5, 2023 as the auditor for the financial year 2023 and on December 22, 2023, the Supervisory Board engaged us to audit the annual and consolidated financial statements of SFC Energy AG, Brunnthal, for the year ending December 31, 2023.

You have asked us to state the nature and scope of our business relationship with SFC Energy AG for the period prior to our appointment.

We were first appointed as auditor of the annual and consolidated financial statements of SFC Energy AG in the financial year 2023. Prior to this, there were no business relationships that could cast doubt on our independence.

This applies both to the audit partners that have signed this statement and to PricewaterhouseCoopers GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft.
