(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the best and worst performers on Italy Growth on Wednesday afternoon in Piazza Affari.

---------

WINNERS

----------

Siav does best of all and rises 9.5 percent to EUR2.53 per share. The stock has lost 12 percent in the last thirty days, 31 percent in the last six months, and 23 percent in the last twelve.

----------

Also doing well is SosTravel.com, in the green by 4.2% to EUR1.24 per share. The stock continues the bullish trend that has seen it gain 21% in the last month, 5.5% in the last six months, and 20% in the last year.

LOSERS

----------

Confinvest is among the worst performers, giving up 4.8% to EUR1.38 after the accounts. The company reported Tuesday that it ended 2023 with a net profit of EUR350,000, which compares with EUR450,000 in the previous year.

Revenues fell to EUR40.6 million from EUR43.1 million while first margin dropped to EUR2.3 million from EUR2.8 million.

The reduction in revenues is mainly attributable to a volume effect caused by the reduced volatility that the gold price experienced especially during the first half of 2023, in contrast to what happened in last year-"an exceptional year in this respect," according to the company, in which the price of gold had been characterized by a sharp fluctuation in the first half of the year mainly attributable to the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine and steadily rising inflation, which had stimulated customer interest throughout the year, thus prompting savers to seek security in physical gold, and had fostered growth in business volume.
