Sigma Alimentos SA de CV is a Mexico-based company engaged, through its subsidiaries, in the food processing industry. The Company's main activities include the production, commercialization and distribution of meat, dairy and other refrigerated and frozen food products; under such brands as Yoplait, San Rafael, Tangamanga and Oscar Mayer, among others. The Company has operations established nationwide, as well as in the Dominican Republic, the United States, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Peru, Nicaragua and Guatemala. As of December 31, 2011, the Company owned such subsidiaries as Alimentos Finos de Occidente SA de CV, Productos Carnicos SA de CV, Productos de Importacion SA de CV, Sigma Alimentos Guatemala SA, Sigma Processed Meats Inc, Hacienda de Cerdos SA and Bonanza industrial SA de CV, among others. In addition, Alfa SAB de CV was the Company's majority shareholder.
