SigmaKoki Co., Ltd. announced consolidated earnings results for the nine months ended February 28, 2017. For the period, the company's net sales were ¥5,831 million compared with ¥5,632 million a year ago. Operating income was ¥665 million compared with ¥619 million a year ago. Ordinary income was ¥754 million compared with ¥698 million a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of parent was ¥478 million or ¥63.58 per share compared with ¥463 million or ¥61.53 per share a year ago.
For the year ending May 31, 2017, the company forecasts net sales of ¥7,650 million, operating income of ¥780 million, ordinary income of ¥860 million and profit attributable to owners of parent of ¥565 million or ¥75.00 per share.
For the year ending May 31, 2017, the company expects to pay a dividend of ¥17.00 per share against ¥15.00 per share a year ago. The year-end dividend include commemorative dividend of ¥2 per share.
SIGMA KOKI CO., LTD. is mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of optical equipment and devices. The Company has two business segments. The Elemental Component segment manufactures and sells basic optical equipment, including stages, holders and base parts; automatic applied products, such as automatic alignment and attitude determining units, optical measurement and control units, and measurement and control software, as well as optical element and film products, such as multi-element optics, mirrors, beam splitters, filters, lenses, prisms, polarizers, circuit boards and windows. The System Product segment offers optical system products, such as lens units, laser processing systems, laser application products, micromanipulation systems, XY automatic systems for microscope, as well as commissioned custom products, among others.
