Singapore Exchange Ltd. said its revenue climbed around 16% in fiscal 2020, owing to double-digit growth across all its business units.

Revenue rose to 1.053 billion Singapore dollars (US$766.5 million) in fiscal 2020, climbing above the S$1-billion mark to its highest level since the company's listing. That compared with revenue of S$909.8 million the previous year.

Net profit increased to S$471.8 million in fiscal 2020 from S$391.1 million the previous year, Singapore Exchange said Thursday.

Regarding the outlook for fiscal 2021, "market activity could ease following heightened volumes in the second half of FY2020," Chief Executive Loh Boon Chye said in a statement. "However, asset prices have recovered from recent lows, and a prolonged low interest rate environment may prompt investors to turn to capital markets for alternative returns."
