SkyWest, Inc. announced the promotion of Justin Esplin as SkyWest's Vice President of Information Technology (IT), effective immediately. Justin succeeds Jim Jensen, who will retire at year-end after 33 years of dedicated SkyWest service. In his role as VP, Justin will oversee all of SkyWest's IT operations for operating subsidiaries SkyWest Airlines and ExpressJet Airlines, including hardware, software, application development and Internet security. This includes oversite of the more than 100 SkyWest IT professionals who support more than 2,500 daily departures across the entity. He will report to Chief Commercial Officer Wade Steel. Esplin brings more than 17 years' SkyWest IT experience to his role, and has helped lead and implement SkyWest's application development, business automation, software integration and database systems. He joined SkyWest in 2001 and was named Director of Application Development in 2008. Prior to his time at SkyWest, Esplin was a division software manager.

SkyWest Leasing is also engaged in leasing aircraft and engines to third parties.
