SMC Corporation (TSE:6273) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 450,000 shares, representing 0.7% of its share capital, for ¥35,000 million. The purpose of the program is to enhance shareholder returns and improve capital efficiency.
The share repurchase program will run until March 22, 2024. As of November 14, 2023, the company had 64,503,109 shares outstanding (excluding treasury shares) and 2,866,250 shares in treasury.
