Southern : Units Georgia Power, Southern Company Gas to Trade CFOs

Southern Co. units Georgia Power and Southern Company Gas are trading finance chiefs.

Georgia Power, the largest electric subsidiary of Southern Co., said it has tapped Dan Tucker as its finance chief and treasurer, effective Jan. 1. Mr. Tucker, currently the executive vice president and CFO at Southern Company Gas, would be succeeded by David Poroch, who is the executive vice president, CFO and treasurer for Georgia Power.

Mr. Tucker joined Southern Co. in 1998, working in financial reporting. He later handled financial planning and investor relations. Mr. Poroch joined Southern Co. in 2012 as vice president and chief audit executive for Southern Company Services before becoming vice president and comptroller at Georgia Power.
