Malakoff, April 6, 2023 -SPIE ICS, the French digital services subsidiary of SPIE Group, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, has announced the appointment of François Guéno, 38, as director of Innovation and Research & Development. In this capacity, François Guéno will lead SPIE ICS' responsible digital strategy. This appointment is effective since January 16, 2023. François Guéno will report to Xavier Daubignard, Managing Director of SPIE ICS.

As a partner in the digital transformation of companies, it is natural for SPIE ICS to invest in the most advanced solutions in a digital world that is constantly being reinvented. Innovation is a strong feature of SPIE ICS, not only in the design of its service and consulting offerings, but also in their implementation, with a focus on the customer experience.

As a pioneer in the field of responsible digital services, SPIE ICS has been awarded the French "Numérique Responsable" label in 2021 and is committed to optimizing the environmental, economic, and social impact of its activities. Convinced that the use of digital technology and data will facilitate the implementation of services that meet the major ecological challenges of the 21st century, SPIE ICS has innovated in this area by making carbon footprint calculation solutions widely available, both for its services and for its customers' infrastructures.

SPIE ICS is also pursuing its open innovation policy. This is illustrated by a research chair with INSA Lyon dedicated to intelligent data processing, and by the fact that SPIE ICS welcomes doctoral students to its teams. This approach extends to all the economic and technological players who make up innovation.

"We want to continue to open up to innovation produced by our partners, in start-ups, SMEs, and public and private research laboratories. Incubators, gas pedals and investors specialized in the digital economy are key players in an ecosystem with which we want to strengthen our initiatives," says François Guéno, Director of Innovation and R&D at SPIE ICS.

A graduate of EM Lyon Business School and holder of a degree in Theoretical Physics from Sorbonne University, François Guéno began his career in 2011 as head of the e-commerce Lab at vente-privee.com, before becoming head of innovation for the La Poste group (2013 - 2016), then for Natixis (2016 - 2018). He will then become Director of Transformation, Innovation and Digital at Viparis (2018 - 2021). Before joining SPIE ICS as Director of Innovation and R&D in January 2023, François Guéno was Innovation Advisor for The Good AI.
