Highline Technical Innovations (HLNT) announced the commencement of a U.S. Army Program Management-Mobile Electric Power (PM-MEP) funded evaluation of Alternative Hydrogen Solutions' Hy-Impact unit. The Department of Defense (DOD) is interested in the potential of hydrogen to reduce the emissions of diesel exhaust particulates while improving fuel consumption and engine performance. As a result the DOD has agreed to fund a testing program to assess the Hy-Impact unit's effect on mobile diesel generators (Gensets) with particular interest and emphasis on emissions reduction.

The Lindon Group believes the Hy-Impact unit has what the DOD needs to reduce its carbon footprint. Previous local tests have shown substantial reductions in harmful emissions and a successful PM-MEP funded evaluation could give the Hy-Impact unit an important 3rd party verification quantifying its ability to reduce harmful exhaust emissions and improve fuel economy in combustion engines. The testing should be completed by the end of spring 2014.
