Sunnyside Bancorp, Inc. is a savings and loan holding company for Sunnyside Federal Savings and Loan Association of Irvington (the Bank). The Bank's business consists primarily of taking deposits from the general public and investing those deposits, together with funds generated from operations, in one-to four-family residential real estate loans, commercial and multi-family real estate loans, student loans, commercial loans, home equity lines of credit and other loans. It offers a variety of deposit accounts, including certificate of deposit accounts, money market accounts, savings accounts, NOW accounts and individual retirement accounts. It also invests in securities, which consist primarily of United States government agency obligations and mortgage-backed securities. It deposits market area includes Westchester County, New York towns of Irvington, Sleepy Hollow, Hastings, Dobbs Ferry and Ardsley-on-Hudson. Its lending area includes Westchester, Putnam and Rockland Counties.
