Liberty Global plc ('Liberty Global') and its wholly-owned Swiss subsidiary UPC Schweiz GmbH ('UPC') announced today the provisional notice of the interim result for the public tender offer of UPC to acquire all publicly held shares of Sunrise Communications Group AG ('Sunrise') for CHF 110 per share per the offer prospectus of August 27, 2020.

At the expiration of the main offer period on October 8, 2020, 4 p.m. Swiss time, and based on preliminary numbers, a total of 37,107,859 Sunrise shares had been tendered, corresponding to 81.98% of the voting rights and the share capital of Sunrise. The provisional interim results are available on www.nationalconnectivitychallenger.ch/#for-investors.

In case the tender offer is declared successful, the additional acceptance period of ten trading days for the subsequent acceptance of the tender offer will commence on October 15, 2020 and expire on October 28, 2020, 4 p.m. Swiss time. The tender offer is still subject to certain conditions, including regulatory approvals, as further described in the offer prospectus.
